The HV-MTL is a series of non-fungible tokens showcasing mechanized beings summoned from a portal in the space-time continuum outside the Bored Ape Yacht Club. These beings, known as “HV,” initially exist as cores and can be morphed into distinct variations that adjust to their environment once they are unlocked.

In relation, Yuga Labs revealed that the Sewer Passes utilized in the browser game Dookey Dash, an endless runner, will be converted into a mechanical companion for the Bored Ape Yacht Club members’ apes.

However, some collectors have raised concerns about problems with the HV-MTL metadata and the absence of certain “companion” traits. In response, Yuga Labs consented by admitting the existence of the aforementioned problems and claiming that they are looking into them.
