Word of the Month: ERC-20 Tokens
ERC-20 is the standard for smart contract tokens that live only on the Ethereum network. The standard was created in 2015 because anyone could create a token. This ensures that all the tokens can be created, used and exchanged with a list of 6 required rules and 3 optional rules using smart contracts. ERC-20 tokens are interchangeable with other ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum network. Developers can work more efficiently knowing that their work will be compatible with new tokens.
