Worlds may be in full force right now but for the teams at home, the offseason is already starting. Team Liquid have already made it clear that changes were coming. It seems that some questions may be getting answered already. According to the Global Contract Database, Yeon had his contract extended through 2024. Here is the latest on Yeon and Team Liquid.

Team Liquid started 2022 with a super team that many thought would roll over the LCS. Between bringing in Bjergsen away from TSM, Bwipo and Hans Sama, TL were the favorite. In the Spring they would go on to finish third and fail to qualify for Worlds 2022 during the Summer. It was quite the letdown and co-owner Steve Arhancet made that clear in his video at the end of the season.
In that video, he also made it clear that changes would be coming and that their previous mindset may not indicate how they would do things moving forward.
Since then it has been rumored that TL were looking at their Academy team which would make sense considering their successes. The team consisting of Bradley, Armao, Haeri, Yeon and Eyla won both seasons of Proving Grounds. This has made many wonder how long it would be until these players were given the chance to play in the LCS.
With Yeon having his contract extended from the end of this year to the end of 2024, it seems to signal that Team Liquid are likely bringing him up. With Hans Sama gone and the GCD being updated to reflect this, it is hard to assume anything differently. What that means for the rest of the team though is still up in the air.
This has not officially been announced by Team Liquid either. Once it is then The Game Haus will have it covered.
