Knockout City entered a 10-day free trial mode called “Block Party” on May 21.

This trial was made to coincide with the official release of the game to best give prospective players the full picture behind the game they’re about to invest in. According to the announcement, for the duration of the Block Party, “the full game will be free to everyone” regardless of platform.

“This isn’t some level-capped, red-tape teaser with gated access, either. You’ll have the full game at your disposal,” it read, “which is good, because you’ll want to try out all the new Contracts, Playlists, and content we’re releasing at launch without worrying about hitting an invisible barrier.”

Knockout City’s trial ended on Sunday, May 30. The original announcement post specified the time as 12 p.m. UTC. True to its word, the Knockout City Twitter revealed the Block Party came to a close at 8 a.m. this morning.

There is currently no word on whether another free trial will be available for Knockout City or if the game will ever go fully free-to-play in the future.

After the Block Party ends, players will have to purchase the game for around $20 USD. Knockout City is available on the PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
