The Homeworld 3 Release Date is Coming Soon
After being pushed back to later in 2024, the Homeworld 3 Release Date is coming soon, on May 13, 2024 to be exact.
Many had hoped that Homeworld 3 would be able to stick to its original 2023 release date but it looks like the devs decided they needed more time to cook. This is likely refreshing for a lot of fans, especially with an RTS or just a strategy game in general. Too often games have been released without being polished or finished. Instead, Blackbird Interactive and Gearbox pushed things back.
Will Homeworld 3 be on Xbox Game Pass?
Sadly, Homeworld 3 will not be on Xbox Game Pass, at least not initially.
In fact, it will just be available on PC, more specifically on Steam. This will certainly disappoint Xbox and PlayStation fans but for games as big and vast with so many small mechanics needed, Homeworld 3 would be hard to play on consoles. This is not to say a version of this game with easier controls can’t come out for the main gaming systems, it is just unlikely.
That being said, the likelihood it could eventually be on Xbox Game Pass is much higher. This would be for PC only to be clear though.
Homeworld 3 Gameplay
Homeworld 3’s gameplay is like a traditional RTS but in space. There will be a major campaign that has a story following the events of Homeworld 2 which was released over 20 years ago at this point.
Because of this, fans can expect a lot of new gameplay, graphics and so much more with the Homeworld 3 release. One area they are dipping their toes into is a roguelike structure within the game. This certainly sounds interesting and will be worth watching for once the game releases.
