According to a statement from United Artists for Ukraine, a group of artists coordinated by Marina Abromovic and Ron Arad, the campaign intends to “raise crucial funding and awareness for Ukrainian cultural institutions and cultural projects in Ukraine badly devastated by the continuing war.”

To collect money for Ukrainian cultural organisations including the Odessa Fine Arts Museum, the National Art Museum of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Institute, non-fungible token (NFT) platform laCollection has started working with a number of worldwide artists.

The Hexagon Society, a Franco-English art charity that was first established in the wake of Brexit to advance European culture in the United Kingdom, is behind the effort.

The NFT artworks are available for purchase on their website and are up for auction until December 31.
