Head over to bitclout.com and hit “Sign Up.”

You’ll see the following options.

Click “Sign up with Seed.” Your seed phrase is a random string of words used to authenticate your account. This is safer than if you log in via your Google account, as someone else could easily access it.

The next screen will reveal your seed phrase.

Top tip: make sure to store it somewhere safe where only you have access. I use Sticky Notes and a photo of the screen stored on my mobile.

Next, you’ll be asked to copy/ paste the same seed phrase in the box above.

You’ll be taken to the BitClout interface. You can earn free $BitClout currency if you verify your phone number at the moment (highly recommended).

Choose to get notified every time someone buys your coin, or skip it.

The final step will prompt you to purchase $BitClout. You don’t need to do this at this stage.

Et voila!

Now you can edit your profile.

Click on “Update Profile.” Choose your Username (you can modify this at any point), then add your bio and profile picture.

Top tip #1: the “Founder Reward Percentage” is the share of coins you will keep versus those that will go to buyers. Leave your FR at 100% first, so you can invest in your coin before anybody else can.

Top tip #2: use your usual creator name as Username. The value of your coin depends on your reputation outside the platform. If you use a pseudonym, you may not get the traction you otherwise would.

Optional: verify your profile via the link in this profile’s bio.

It’s a quick process to verify you are the real person. You post a link to your BitClout profile on your Twitter account and receive a checkmark that shows your BitClout account is legit.

Here are the best ways to get people to invest in your creator coin.

1. Add value to the platform

You have unique content, so share it. Don’t spam the platform with random links; be conversational instead.

Post 10 to 20 times a day. Don’t just post anything that you think people want to see. Share what you know best and stick to your lane — that’s where you add the most value.

Don’t just hide behind your screen. Show up and contribute — you’ll be rewarded for it.

3. Promote your profile

There are many ways you can promote your profile and creator coin.

• Allow coins holders to take part in ‘Ask Me Anything’ sessions on BitClout, like best-selling author Mark Manson does.
• Reduce your Founder Reward to under 10% for 24 hours to encourage new buyers. Post an announcement to let everyone know.
• Provide some kind of benefit to investors who buy a minimum amount of your coin: a web page design, a custom logo, a copy of your book.
• Offer more exclusive rewards for the first or top five coin holders, such as a one-on-one call or access to a private Slack community.
• Ask people to follow you, reclout, and comment on your post in exchange for Diamonds. They act as tips, similar to Twitch Bits, where the recipient receives your coin as a collectible asset. They’ll get you noticed in a way that likes and reclouts can’t do. Get people to tag other users in the comments to gain more exposure to your profile, too.
• Tip your fans with Diamonds to create stronger bonds. Don’t overdo it though, as all activity shows publicly on your profile. If you send them to anyone, this may dilute their perceived value. Use Diamonds strategically.
