Texans Sign Desmond King to Active Roster

Date:

Houston has made a few moves on Wednesday, one of them being the activation of a veteran cornerback. Desmond King II has been moved from the Texans’ practice squad up to the 53-man active roster.

The Texans’ official Twitter account reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.

King was selected in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Chargers out of the University of Iowa. He spent three-plus years there before being sent to the Titans for a sixth round pick. After that ended, he began his first stint with the Texans, which lasted two seasons.

Houston has brought him back, and King has played in one game for them this season, totaling one solo tackle. During his first ride with the Texans, he grabbed five interceptions and 14 pass defenses during his 33 games.
