Leapfox, a new UK-based gaming and esports agency set up to provide commercial insight and guidance, has announced its launch today.
Founded by former Excel Esports head of partnerships Patrick Collins, Leapfox aims to work with brands and agencies to navigate the industry and with rights holders to help them maximise revenues.
Patrick has more than 14 years of experience in commercial development, strategy and partnerships, having worked across traditional sports with positions at Premier League clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.
UK esports organisation Excel Esports has teamed up with its sponsor and mobile network EE to announce the launch of EE Ultimate Gamer.
This event includes a six-hour Twitch stream held on March 30th 2022 and will see four famous UK personalities compete against each other across three separate games – Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5 and FIFA 22 – in a house all powered by EE’s Full Fibre broadband.
Celebs taking part will include comedian Munya Chawawa, Excel’s pro Fortnite player Jaden ‘Wolfiez’ Ashman (who recently secured Red Bull sponsorship), TikToker Ollie Ball and London Royal Raven’s content creator Angelika ‘ImAngelikaa’ Slon (who recently joined agency XU Esports).
Each competitor will play five rounds of Halo Infinite, FIFA and Forza on EE’s Full Fibre broadband, and the player with the highest total of kills, goals and race position finishes across all three titles will be crowned EE’s Ultimate Gamer.
UK-based esports organisation Excel Esports have won the first Valorant Regional League for teams in the UK, Ireland and Nordics.
They defeated Tenstar 3-2 in overtime this evening to secure their victory in Polaris Stage 1. Not only did Excel win in overtime, but they won against the odds – Tenstar had a default first-game win due to their upper bracket run, before winning game two 13-5 on Bind. Excel then won three games in a row to pull off the reverse sweep.

The first couple of fixtures in the Spring 2022 NLC playoffs have concluded, and a shock upset has seen Excel academy side JDXL eliminated in round one.
The NLC is the Northern League of Legends Championship, the European Regional League (ERL) for the UK, Ireland and Nordics, and features the best teams from the region.
There were six teams that entered the playoffs after the NLC Spring 2022 season standings were confirmed (in order): Bifrost, X7 Esports, JDXL, Dusty, Vanir and Riddle Esports.
