S-Tier

Moira’s healing abilities and skills are strong and can also deal damage when enemies are bundled together. The support hero can escape critical situations with Fade. Her ultimate ability is Coalescence, which is a long-range beam that heals teammates and damages enemies caught in the blast.

A-Tier

Mercy’s Caduceus Staff either heals allies or gives them a damage boost. The support hero is mobile and best paired with heroes like Pharah. Additionally, she has her Resurrect which will bring an ally back into the fight after falling.

B-Tier

Lucio’s unique abilities allow the whole team to get on the objective and heal anyone within range. Baptiste can cause damage and heal teammates from a distance if needed.

C-Tier

Ana is a great hero to provide support from a distance, but if players aren’t careful with their surroundings they can be picked off easily. Keeping this support hero at a distance increases the team’s survival rate with her Biotic Rifle and grenades.

D-Tier

Brigitte specializes in providing armor to teammates and Zenyatta uses orbs for healing. Additionally, Zenyatta can put a damage amplifier on an enemy meaning they’ll take more damage from teammates.

Two Months Later: Monero’s Former Lead Maintainer Released From US Custody

Published

on

Riccardo Spagni, the former Monero lead maintainer who was recently arrested for charges unrelated to the privacy token, has reported that US officials have released him from custody.

  • CryptoPotato reported in early August when Spagni was arrested for alleged fraud committed between 2009 and 2011.
  • The reports indicated that his crimes had nothing to do with his work for the popular privacy coin Monero, as they were dated long before the inception of the network.
  • Instead, his alleged crimes were in connection to his time as an IT manager at Cape Cookies – a bakery in Cape Town, South Africa. More precisely, the allegations claimed that he intercepted invoices from another company (EnSync) and used false information to fabricate similar invoices related to the same company.
  • The arrest took place in July in Nashville, Tennessee, during a scheduled fueling stop while aboard a private jet on his way to Mexico.
  • Earlier this week, though, Spagni provided an update through Twitter saying he was “very pleased” that the US court had released him.
  • Additionally, the former Monero lead maintainer noted he was actively working with his lawyers to return to South Africa.

BitcoinOrg Hacked: Giveaway Scam Promising Users to Double Their BTC

Published

on

Fake cryptocurrency giveaway scams continue to pop up frequently, and the latest victim is the oldest bitcoin educational resource – BitcoinOrg. As of now, though, the website has been taken down, and the pseudonymous developer operating it has blamed it on Cloudflare.

  • Earlier on September 23rd, users on Twitter outlined that the BitcoinOrg website has an untypical and concerning message on its homepage. It urged visitors to send a certain amount of the primary cryptocurrency and to double their investment.
  • Needless to say, this was most surely another scam, which the community has already grown accustomed to. History shows countless such fraudulent activities that involved some of the most well-known names in and outside the space.
  • Perhaps the most blatant recent one was against Twitter, where the accounts of names like Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Jeff Bezos, and more were hacked to promote similar scams that promised people to double their bitcoins.
  • Despite sounding too good to be true, such frauds still manage to dupe funds from victims, which makes them especially dangerous.
  • As of now, BitcoinOrg has been taken down as it shows a 404 Not Found error. The developer behind the website, going by the Twitter handle Cobra, hinted that this security issue might be an issue with the new website security company as BitcoinOrg “hasn’t been hacked, ever” before it moved to Cloudflare.
  • Interestingly, the CEO of Cloudflare, Matthew Prince, told CNBC earlier this month that cryptocurrency-related websites have become a popular target for cybercriminals.
