Gray joined the Oregon State program in 2018. In 2020, he started in all seven games and was Second Team All-Pac-12. In 2021, he was an All-Pac-12 honorable mention for his play. He once again made the All-Pac-12 Second Team in 2022 and in 2023.

At 6-foot-4 and 305 pounds, Gray has solid size for an NFL tackle. He has protected the blind side at Oregon State and has been protective. Gray is very experienced and has been a part of some good offensive lines during his college career.
