NFL Draft Prospects in the 2023 Pop-Tarts Bowl

Date:

The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2023 Pop-Tarts Bowl.

NC State Wolfpack Draft Prospects

Payton Wilson, LB

Wilson signed on with NC State in 2019. He has battled his fair share of injuries, but has been a very good player over his time with the team. In his career, he has 402 tackles, 48 tackles for loss and 15 sacks. This season, he has racked up 138 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss and six sacks.

He has solid size for a linebacker at 6-foot-4 and 238 pounds. Wilson will have to clear medical checks, but he was one of the most effective players in the country this season. He could be a first-round pick, but if medical checks don’t go well he could fall down draft boards.

Projected Draft Range: 1st Round Pick-3rd Round Pick

Anthony Belton, OT

Belton started his college career at Georgia Military Academy. He transferred to NC State before the 2021 season. Belton stepped into the starting lineup for the 2022 season. He stayed in the starting lineup for the 2023 season and was named Third Team All-ACC.

At 6-foot-6 and 336 pounds, Belton has tremendous size for an NFL offensive tackle. He has experience on the left, which could help his value. Belton still has one more year of eligibility and he may return to school in order to enhance his value.

Projected Draft Range: 4th Round Pick-6th Round Pick

Other Draft Prospects: DL Davin Vann (4th-6th), IOL Dylan McMahon (5th-7th), WR Dacari Collins (UFA), CB Aydan White (UFA), CB Shyheim Battle (UFA), OT Dawson Jaramillo (UFA), QB Brennan Armstrong (UFA)

Kansas State Wildcats Draft Prospects

Cooper Beebe, IOL

Beebe signed with Kansas State in 2019 and redshirted. He jumped into the starting lineup in 2020 and stayed there throughout his career. In 2021 and 2022 he was named First Team All-Big 12 member. He was named a First Team All-American for his play this season.

At 6-foot-4 and 335 pounds, Beebe has excellent size for an offensive lineman. He also is very experienced and has played several positions on the offensive line making him versatile. His best fit is likely on the interior, where his strength can really shine.

Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round Pick-3rd Round Pick

Ben Sinnott, TE

Sinnott signed with Kansas State in 2020 and has developed over the years into one of their better players. In his career, Sinnott has 82 receptions for 1,138 yards and 10 touchdowns. This season, Sinnott has 49 catches for 676 yards and six touchdowns.

He stands at 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds, which is ok size for a tight end. Sinnott probably will fulfill the role as an H-back, as he can play tight end or full back. His versatility has made him a matchup problem at the collegiate level and could help his value in the draft.

Projected Draft Range: 4th Round Pick-6th Round Pick

Other Draft Prospects: CB Daequan Hary (UFA), OT K.T. Levelston (UFA), EDGE Khalid Duke (UFA)
