NFL Draft Prospects in the 2023 Cotton Bowl

Date:

The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2023 Cotton Bowl.

Missouri Tigers Draft Prospects

Kris Abrams-Draine, CB

Abrams-Draine joined Missouri in 2020 and actually started his career as a wide receiver before converting to cornerback. In his career, he has 132 total tackles, 33 passes defended and seven interceptions. This season, he has racked up 47 total tackles, 12 passes defended and four interceptions.

At 5-foot-11 and 178 pounds, Abrams-Draine is a little undersized for an outside corner at the NFL level. He will need to add strength to hold up against stronger wide receivers. Abrams-Draine has shown good ball skills over his career, which improves his stock. He has eligibility remaining and could return to school for another season to improve his stock.

Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round Pick-4th Round Pick.

Javon Foster, OT

Foster signed with Missouri way back in 2018 and he redshirted that season. He started his first two games during the 2020 season. In 2021, he was a full-time starter at left tackle. He stayed there through the 2022 season and was named a Third Team All-American in 2023 for his play at left tackle.

He stands 6-foot-5 and 319 pounds, which is solid size for an NFL offensive tackle. Foster has plenty of experience in the SEC and he has protected the blindside well. He currently looks like he should be a mid-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Projected Draft Range: 3rd Round Pick-5th Round Pick

At 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, Harrison Jr. has excellent size for an NFL receiver. He has displayed good athleticism and route-running skills. This season, he has shown improved run-after-the-catch ability as well. There is a chance he ends up opting out of this bowl game, but for now he is in.
