Michigan RB Blake Corum Out for Season

Date:

University of Michigan running back Blake Corum will not return to the field this season. A knee injury limited him to just two carries in last week’s win over Ohio State. He suffered the injury just a week before that game.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.

The five-foot-eight running back was just named the Ameche-Dayne Running Back of the Year and selected to the First Team All-Big Ten in 2022. This is his third year as a Wolverine, helping the school reach the College Football Playoff two years in a row (barring a shocking loss to Purdue this week).

In 11 games played so far this season, Corum had 1,488 rushing yards and a whopping 18 rushing touchdowns. He also grabbed nine passes for 41 yards and an additional score. He had just 144 total rushing yards last year.
