LoL Arena Mode patch notes: Kaisa and Vayne nerfed, small item changes, more

The brand new Arena Mode received micro patch notes on July 26, targeting the most overbearing picks in the game. These notes were revealed by the League of Legends Game Designer on the Modes Team, Madness Heroo on Twitter. And according to the developer, they’ll “have a larger set of changes going out in 13.15.”

What’s changing in this LoL Arena micro patch?

Best marksmen nerfed

Kai’Sa and Vayne were undeniably the best marksmen in the game. They’ve been overbearing thanks to their passives, which allowed them to essentially counter the meta, which is predominantly bruisers.

Both Vayne and Kai’Sa are receiving nerfs to their scaling damage built into their passive procs, which should definitely prevent them from being the overpowered picks that they have been since the game mode’s official launch.

Taric nerfed

Taric was also undeniably the best support in the game. His invulnerability, access to heals, and constant shields made him near impossible to deal with — especially when comboed with the right hyper carry. This LoL Arena micro patch nerfed his total healing and ability haste, which should help enemies kill his partner.

In addition, the length of Taric’s invulnerability also took a hit, allowing enemies more opportunities to burst his carry down.

Champion changes

Cassiopeia

  • E bonus damage ratio 60% → 45%
  • E heal ratio 10/11.5/13/14.5/16% → 10/10.5/11/11.5/12

Kai’Sa

  • P on-hit damage halved
  • P hissing HP % 15 → 10

Kindred

  • W on hit damage 25-45(+0.2AD)(+0.2AP)(+1.5% current HP, +1% per mark) → 10-30(+0.1AD)(+0.2AP)(+1% current HP, +0.5% per mark)
  • E missing health proc 8% → 5%

Kog’Maw

  • W Bonus magic damage: 3/3.75/4.5/5.25/6% → 2/2.75/3.5/4.25/5%
  • Q Healing HP ratio 0.00750 → 0.005
  • Q Healing per stack base 20 → 15
  • Q Healing AP Ratio .1 → .07

Taric

  • E -30 Ability Haste → -50 Ability Haste
  • R Invul Duration 2.5s → 1.75s

Twitch

  • R bonus AD: 40/55/70 → 10/20/30

Vayne

  • Q Total AD Ratio: 75%-115% → 60%-100%
  • W Percent Health: 6-10% → 4-6%

System nerfs

Moonstone Renewer

  • BUGFIX: No longer has minor recursive chain healing
  • Chain Heal amount: 40% → 30%
  • Chain Shield Amount: 45% → 35%

Redemption

  • Heal Amount: 350-700 → 250-500

Perseverance (Augment)

  • BUGFIX: now correctly amps Base HP Regen instead of all HP Regen
