Team Liquid v FlyQuest

Predictions: Team Liquid to win

Odds: 1.4

Betting Site: Odds provided by GG.Bet

When: Sunday, August 7, 00:30 CEST

The LCS summer heads into its seventh week, and Team Liquid’s first fixture on Sunday sees them pitted against FlyQuest. The two teams have already met on a prior occasion this split, and it was quite a close encounter. Both teams looked evenly matched, but TL were the ones who forged ahead in the end after a dogfight that lasted more than 36 minutes. They’re tipped to come out on top in this contest as well.

That TL haven’t looked themselves summer is clear to anyone who’s followed the team’s progress over the years. They’re fresh off a loss to Cloud9, and will seek to reclaim their morale by beating FlyQuest. They’re currently just ahead of FlyQuest on the split rankings, having secured 8 wins so far while the latter’s managed 7. FlyQuest are coming off a difficult week where they succumbed to back-to-back defeats against two of the league’s strongest teams, Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses.

In spite of TL’s underwhelming form this season, the LoL predictions indicate that it’s unlikely they’ll go down to FlyQuest. TL and Counter Logic Gaming are neck-and-neck on the rankings, and TL will want to use this opportunity to move ahead of them. In the unlikely scenario of a FlyQuest win, they will jump one spot and oust TL from number five.

Counter Logic Gaming v Cloud9

Predictions: Cloud9 to win

Odds: 1.5

Betting Site: Odds provided by GG.Bet

When: Sunday, August 7, 01:30 CEST

The unpredictable Counter Logic Gaming will face Cloud9 on Sunday  in what is likely to be this week’s most spirited contest. We’re more than halfway through the split, and it’s a tight race between these two  teams for the third spot on the table. The outcome of this match will decide who will move ahead.

CLG have had some brilliant moments this past summer, been mediocre at times too but at the very least, they have never failed to entertain. they’re on a three-match streak and stand just behind Cloud9 on the rankings. Both teams have the exact same number of wins, 8 so far.  Cloud9 are the more reputed, reliable outfit among the two and this isn’t their first rodeo, so to speak. Both CLG and Cloud9 have had contrasting fortunes and approaches this split, but each has found their footing in unique ways.

Cloud9’s start to the season was rough, with many of their key players unable to join owing to visa issues. After that they’ve been looking more like the Cloud9 of old and are now on a roll, with four wins out of four from their last few games. On the previous occasion these teams met, Cloud9 managed to push past them and LoL odds imply that it’s likely they’ll repeat that result.

100 Thieves v Golden Guardians

Predictions: 100 Thieves to win

Odds: 1.36

Betting Site: Odds provided by GG.Bet

When: Saturday, August 6, 22:30 CEST

100 Thieves will look to pull off an easy victory against Golden Guardians in the first of Sunday’s fixtures. They’ve dominated the league this summer and are second only to Evil Geniuses on the split rankings. In fact, EG are their only real competitors in terms of skill and form, and a repeat of the spring final between these two teams seems almost inevitable at this point. They’ve surged to five consecutive wins across the last three weeks, and look practically unstoppable.

Golden Guardians have always been one of the middling teams of the LCS, and this summer has been no different. They’ve already taken a heavy beating by 100 Thieves once in this tournament, and nothing short of a miracle can stop it from happening again. GG have lost their last four games in a row, and their rankings as well as their morale slipped with each consecutive loss. They may qualify for the playoffs from sixth or seventh place, but the chances of them progressing any further are negligible.

If they do want to qualify, though, they’ll have to start finding ways to win, and find them fast. The League of Legends betting tips suggest that it’s not likely to happen against 100 Thieves, but they do have some weaker opponents lined up over the next couple of weeks.
