The page has turned to the 2023 season and fans everywhere are excited to see what their teams are doing for the Spring Split. This is the first Power Ranking of the new year and while teams prepare, analysts discuss their teams at length. Like all Power Rankings, these will instantly be wrong upon being published. But that is okay because pieces like these are fun thought experiments as everyone waits for the season to begin. So, without further adieu, here are the LCS 2023 Spring Split Power Rankings, heading into Week 7.

10. Dignitas (Last Week: 9)
This team is getting better but it is sadly too late. Tomo has been quite the game-changer for Dignitas as they have gone from getting no kills and losing games to getting more kills and losing games. Once they can translate this into better macro this team could play spoiler over the last two weeks. At this point though, changes will be made for Summer so this may be the last few weeks fans will see this iteration of Dignitas.
9. Immortals (Last Week: 10)
Who would have thought that Bolulu coming in would make this much of a difference? He is playing like a man with nothing to lose and it not only helped IMT get a big win over DIG but showed that there may be other issues that need to be addressed. It will be interesting to see how things go from here. Technically IMT can win out and still have a chance at playoffs but a miracle run would be needed at this point.
8. Team Liquid (Last Week: 8)
How does TL go from taking down the hottest team in the LCS to looking like a limp noodle against TSM? It is wild how inconsistent this team is and yet, they are still in the playoff hunt. Right now their five wins go like this, 2-0 against IMT, 2-0 against GG and 1-0 against DIG. That Dignitas game is no longer a complete pushover but the rest of their games are against some of the best in the LCS. They will have to dig deep if they want to survive these rough waters and make their way into playoffs.
7. 100 Thieves (Last Week: 5)
Changes had to be made and Kaas was sadly the scapegoat. The reality is, this team is probably being run by Bjergsen and DL at this point and it will be interesting to see how things change. If they don’t then there is no doubt that roster moves will have to be made for the Summer. Regardless, this squad is still very much in it and has big games against DIG, GG, IMT and TSM left. Those can all be wins if this team plays up to their potential.
6. TSM (Last Week: 7)
WildTurtle came back and made an impact right away. They said they wanted a more lane-dominant bot lane and they got it. His first game wasn’t great for the team at large but the second game he went on a classic Ezreal pick and helped TSM take down Team Liquid. TSM still have 100T, DIG, GG and IMT left to play. They currently hold onto the last playoff spot and will have to get at least two maybe three wins to keep it. Buckle up TSM fans, could be quite the rollercoaster these next two weeks.
5. CLG (Last Week: 6)
CLG are now 5-2 in their last seven games with their only losses coming to FlyQuest. That is to say, they are a pretty strong team. All of this after it looked like they were dead in the water on a four-game losing streak. They hold tiebreakers over most teams below them and will be looking to climb the ranks more than hold onto a playoff spot.
4. Golden Guardians (Last Week: 2)
Their winning streak finally came to an end in a weird game against Team Liquid where it felt like Gori and River couldn’t do much. Then they played a pretty close game to IMT. Now they have one of the more important schedules left in the LCS. Luckily they are already at eight wins, a ninth should get them over the edge. With five games left, this GG team are already living up to their preseason video.
3. Cloud9 (Last Week: 3)
Cloud9 were able to take care of business against two lackluster teams. Now their sights are set on getting back that top spot. The problem is that they still have games against EG and FLY. If they can win both of those then they will be the undisputed best team heading into playoffs. It will be interesting to see if EMENES can continue to grow with the team and if that was truly the key to Cloud9’s last needed step.
2. Evil Geniuses (Last Week: 4)
A massive win over FlyQuest has EG back in the race for first. They are still a bit of a longshot but with five games left, crazier things have happened. This squad is very talented and just have to stay focused. They can and do still lose when teams catch them on bad days. They will need to find that consistency if they want to not only make a solid push for the top seed but also if they want to win their second Spring Championship in as many years.
1. FlyQuest (Last Week: 1)
A loss against FlyQuest may be just what the doctor ordered. There are more lessons to be learned from losses than wins. FLY are still the best team in the LCS and will have a pretty easy schedule to prove it. If they can take down Cloud9 and TSM then only EG will have a tiebreaker with them as they head into the playoffs.
