The first two stages of the lower bracket have been played out over the past couple of days, locking in our top three teams: Bliss and Chiefs, and the last team left standing in Mammoth.
Last night saw Vertex’s elimination at the hands of Mammoth in a series with some intense back and forth gameplay. In game one, Mammoth saw an early lead, building up to securing the first baron buff.
Although the base was broken open, they were forced out as the Wolfpack stood their ground, playing the map until the next spawn of the neutral objective. This time around, with Tomasino split pushing bot, Goodo’s flash smite into the baron pit brought them back into the fray and able to secure one of Mammoth’s inhibs.
Their hopes didn’t last long, however, as Dajeung landed yet another massive Neeko ult, giving Mammoth the edge to stampede their way to the finish line.
Now match point from the semi-finals, Mammoth continued their momentum into game two, asserting their dominance, chasing down Tomasino in his own jungle at level one, allowing Thien to help himself to first blood. Although Vertex attempted to hold their own, Mammoth managed to stay one step ahead in objective and map control–ultimately, the Wolfpack’s downfall.
A TP flank into Vertex’s jungle allowed the fed Thien to zone the entire Wolfpack, with the rest of his team–including an incredibly fed Souli–right on his heels. The few picks were all Mammoth needed to secure the baron buff, and end the game shortly after.
The last round of the upper bracket is taking place tonight with yet another rematch between The Chiefs and Team Bliss.

LCO Split 2 2023 Schedule & Results
There have been some major changes to the format of the LCO ahead of Split 2 this June. The round-robin stage will be played in best-of-twos as opposed to the former two separate best-of-one matches.
Points will be allocated depending on the results, with three awarded for a victorious flawless series, and one point to each team for a 1-1 outcome. Side selections will be submitted from both teams prior to the beginning of a series.
By the end of the round-robin, the top six teams will move into the next stage.

Rather than seeding into groups, the LCO has opted in favour of a double elimination playoffs bracket to give all teams a fighting chance. All series in the playoffs are played out in a Bo3 format.
The top two teams in our LCO playoffs will seed respectively for PCS playoffs, where they’ll be competing for a shot at Worlds in South Korea in October.

LCO Split 2 2023 Rosters
After the Brisbane Brawl came to an exciting conclusion at DreamHack Melbourne, The Chiefs defended their winning LCO title against Team Bliss.
Now with Kevy making his return from NA, The Chiefs will attempt to defend their trophy for the third split in a row.
An outstanding debut regardless of the end result, Team Bliss and their new Korean support Akia look to run it back for Split 2.
