Respected as one of the most competitive regions in the world, the LCK is back with the LCK Summer Season. Bearing this in mind, we’ve gathered everything you need to know in our LCK Summer betting preview which we’ll be updating throughout the season!

LCK Summer Week 5 2023 Betting Preview – Format and Schedule

Once again featuring the 10 franchised League of Legends Korea teams, the LCK Summer 2023 split is taking place between 7th June and 22nd August as outlined in our LCK betting guide.

Hosted offline at the Seoul LoL PARK in South Korea, the competing teams are fighting for prize and seeding. While the winner may directly seed to Worlds, teams are also hoping to qualify for the Regional Finals – a top event for League of Legends betting.

With regards to the format, there are two stages of competition:

• Group Stage – 7th June to 6th August
• Playoffs – 8th-22nd August

During the Group Stage, a double round robin features all the teams facing one another twice with BO3 matches. From here, only the top 6 will seed into the Playoffs.

Once in the Playoffs, a single elimination bracket with BO5 matches will conclude the regular season ahead of Worlds 2023, one of the top League of Legends tournaments 2023.

With the Group Stage ongoing, we’ve gathered some of the best esports betting opportunities for the upcoming matches:

5th July 2023

LCK Summer Week 5 2023 Betting Preview

DRX vs T1

Last Split, T1 stood undefeated and were favoured in every single match up. However, so far in LCK Summer, they’ve lost twice and sit at third place.

Meanwhile, DRX are currently eighth, with a 2-6 record, outside of the top 6 teams who are qualifying for the Playoffs. 

While T1 is certainly favoured according to the LoL odds, DRX is desperate for a win here if they want to try and contest a spot for the Playoffs and have a chance to return to Worlds to defend their throne from last year.

Kwangdong Freecs vs Dplus KIA

Stuck in a tight three way tie at fourth place, Dplus KIA and Kwangdong Freecs are both sitting at a 4-4 record.

Historically, these rosters stack up in favour of Dplus KIA, especially considering their stronger roster. In addition, League of Legends betting sites are considering how Dplus KIA placed 5th at the recent LCK Spring Playoffs while Kwangdong Freecs didn’t qualify.

Overall, the odds are heavily in favour of Dplus KIA.

Our final match to consider is a rather one-sided affair between Hanwha Life Esports and Nongshim RedForce. 

For those unaware, Nongshim currently reside in last place of the LCK Summer Standings, with a 1-7 record. Meanwhile, Hanwha are fighting to keep their spot in the top 6 and will need to claim this assured victory.
