To streamline payment transactions for JCB cardmembers in
France, La Banque Postale and JCB have officially entered into a strategic
partnership. This collaboration, set to unfold across multiple phases, promises
to offer enhanced payment options for businesses and increased convenience for
JCB cardholders navigating transactions in the country.

La Banque Postale, known for its physical footprint
encompassing 17,000 points of contact, including 7,000 post offices and 6,000
ATMs, has joined forces with JCB, a leading global payment brand, to bolster
payment accessibility throughout France.

Jean-Marc Vedrune, the Director of Electronic Payment at La
Banque Postale, explained: “This strategic partnership with JCB, represents a
significant step forward in facilitating payment transactions especially for
international tourists and professionals travelling to France. With a history
of involvement in various international payment initiatives, both in terms of
transfers and the acceptance of foreign cards in our network, it shows our
joint commitment to meeting the needs of our customers, with JCB being the

In the initial phase, JCB cardholders gained access to La
Banque Postale’s vast network of 6,000 ATMs, marking a significant step towards
enhancing their convenience in conducting transactions across the country.
Subsequently, in the second phase, JCB cardmembers will enjoy the privilege of
directly utilizing their cards for purchases at retail terminals affiliated
with La Banque Postale, further simplifying the payment process.

Integration into Global Merchant Network

The culmination of this collaboration aims to integrate JCB cards
into the expanding global merchant network, encompassing online platforms, and aligning
with the evolving preferences and requirements of modern consumers.
