The Atlanta Falcons are stealing a linebacker away from their division rivals, the Saints. Former University of Idaho prospect Kaden Elliss is heading to Atlanta on a new deal. The details have yet to be fully released.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.

The #Falcons make another big move on defense, as former #Saints LB Kaden Elliss is headed to Atlanta, sources say. With seven sacks and 78 tackles in 11 starts, he became a hot free agent. He shined in his opportunity, now cashes in.

Elliss was selected in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft, near the tail end. He got into only three games his rookie season, but upped that to 15 in 2020. He also got his first start in 2020, as well. With a full load of work in 2022, he proved his worth.

In 11 starts last season, Elliss racked up 78 tackles and seven sacks. He played in all 17 games for the first time in his career, and set career numbers across the board. He also defended two passes and forced two fumbles.
