In 2023, Colson had 95 total tackles, two tackles for loss and two passes defended. He led Michigan to a National Championship.
Following a storybook ending to his career, Colson declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a day-two pick.
Junior Colson Strengths
Colson has solid size for the linebacker position. He stands at 6-foot-2 and 238 pounds, which is a good frame for the NFL. Colson also has long arms that measure over 32 inches. His reach helps him wrap up tackles and match up with pass-catchers. With his size come good play strength for the position.
His athleticism is good for the position as well. He shows good speed and range, with the ability to get to the ball quickly and keep up in coverage. Colson also has good quickness and agility, which also help him make so many plays on the ball.
