Indonesian VC East Ventures Launches Accelerator Programme for Laid-off Tech Talent

Date:

East Ventures, an Indonesia-focused venture capital firm, has launched its fourth edition of the PASTI BISA programme to aid those affected by recent layoffs in the tech ecosystem.

The latest edition dubbed as Maju Terus Pantang Mundur (IDPB MTPM), which translates as keep moving forward and never give up, provides an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to develop their business ideas and take their first step in creating a startup.

They will receive direct coaching from experts in the digital ecosystem across multiple areas, connect with investors, and receive a total funding of US$ 500,000 (IDR 7.5 billion) in the form of uncapped convertible notes for 30 teams.

East Ventures will announce up to 120 shortlisted teams through IDPB MTPM and East Ventures’ official websites and social media channels on 1 December 2022.

This collaborative programme is supported by partners such as IDN Media, Tech in Asia, and Katadata.

Applications for the IDPB MTPM programme are now open until 30 November 2022.
