We know that embarking on a brand new journey can be daunting at first, especially because it’s difficult to navigate our way around an entirely new environment. With that said, please be at ease, because we have created this guide to provide you with the basic knowledge you need to push through with your adventure in this brand new city builder game!

So you already have a wallet. In order to interact with the blockchain network and dApps in general, you will need to have some ETH for transaction fees, and you may also want to buy some WTR tokens for your Crypto-Ocean journey.
a. Purchasing ETH
There are a number of ways to purchase ETH using cash. Most people like to use centralized exchanges like Binance and Coinbase. There are also digital cash apps which allow their users to conveniently convert to and from fiat to crypto, so if one such cash app is available in your region, try them out and you might just be able to save yourself the time and effort!
b. Purchasing WTR
WTR is Crypto-Ocean’s game currency, and it goes without saying that it is an integral part of the gameplay. If one wishes to purchase WTR, they may trade their ETH for it on decentralized exchanges.
We recommend having both ETH and WTR on your wallet for the optimal experience.

Bonus Tip: Read the signing message, and make sure you are using Crypto-Ocean’s original link. Making sure you are at the right link with the correct signing message protects you from phishing attempts, and is therefore advised you check carefully.

Now that you’ve entered the game, you would definitely want some basic idea of what you ought to do. Luckily, we’ve got you covered!
It may not be completely necessary for players to purchase coffers, but for those looking to speed up their progress, getting some coffers allows you to have a head start. Coffers offer additional resources and pirates for your disposal. It is strongly advised players to at least check out the coffer sale.

This is probably one of the first things you ought to do upon braving the world of Crypto-Ocean. After all, you’ll need a place to build your structures on.
a. Select a plot within the map
b. Build a structure from your purchased plot
c. Upgrade structure until you hit your desired level
d. Let your pirates work inside the structure
Bonus Tip: Purchase plots near Resource Islands to take advantage of resource production bonus. Also purchase multiple plots adjacent to each other so you can upgrade and combine them together into a high-level structure later. Lastly, plot owners will receive a reward every time someone buys a plot near their owned plot! How great is that?
Bonus Tip 2: there are different types of Resource Islands. Buying a plot close to a stone island grants you a stone production bonus. Buying a plot near a wood island gives a wood production bonus.
Take advantage of this fact and plan your plot purchases accordingly!
Trading company is your structure of choice if you want to be a tax collector. Basically put, building a trading company allows you to periodically obtain funds from the global bank. This is one of the passive methods of income within the game, and one which we think many people will enjoy.
a. Purchase a plot in the middle of the ocean ( far from resource plots )
b. Build a Trading Company
c. Upgrade structure until you hit your desired level
d. Let your pirates work inside the structure
Bonus Tip: Pirates with high Accountant stats can get more tax from the global bank. Make sure to select your pirates with this in mind!
