A lot of people are already getting their letters to Hogwarts. This is due to Hogwarts Legacy Early Access being three days before the main game comes out. Specifically, the early access is for Tuesday, February 7, 2023 instead of Friday, February 10, 2023. The problem is that it is not working as smoothly as many people were hoping it would. Here is what is going on and being said about Hogwarts Legacy Early Access on Steam Not Working.

As of the publishing of this article initially (2/7/2023 around 5:15 pm EST) a lot of players are getting home and having issues accessing their early access of Hogwarts Legacy. Some people have bought it from a third party and cannot see event he download button. The suggestion for this is to sadly have to go through the third party’s customer service.
Others bought it from Steam and are still having issues. Here is a list of a few unfortunately basic but potentially helpful solutions that some people have found that have helped them solve this problem.
- Exit out of Steam and make sure to go to Task Manager to end the process completely. Then open it back up and it may have the download or play button depending on if the game was already downloaded.
- Go into the files on Steam and click on Verify Game Files. This will quickly check to see that everything was downloaded correctly. This may also require a restart akin to option 1.
- Uninstall and reinstall the game. Sadly this has been a common but lengthy fix depending on internet speed.
- Restart your PC. A simple but sometimes effective one.
- Reach out to Steam.
As of right now, it would seem that not enough people are having the issue for anyone from Warner Brothers Games, Avalanche Studios, the Hogwarts Legacy Twitter or the main Steam Twitter to issue any sort of statement on what is going on.
