HEET have confirmed the acquisition of Audric “JACKZ” Jug, the Belgian organization announced on Twitter. The move corroborates a previous report by 1pv.fr which indicated the 30-year-old was set for a return to France after more than three years with G2‘s international roster.
The rifler is replacing Lucas “Lucky” Chastang, with the 24-year-old having been benched earlier this week after eight months on the active lineup. This is the first roster change that the team has undergone since HEET‘s acquisition of the DBL PONEY lineup in January.
JACKZ is now a part of HEET
JACKZ joined G2 from 3DMAX in November of 2018, becoming a staple of the squad for the next two years as the team transitioned from a fully French roster to an international lineup in 2019. He was temporarily moved to the bench in late 2020, but returned in March of the following year to replace Kenny “kennyS” Schrub.
In his nearly four years with G2, the 30-year-old averaged a 1.00 rating and helped the team finish runners-up at various big events such as IEM Katowice 2020, IEM Cologne 2021, PGL Major Stockholm 2021, and IEM Katowice 2022. The European squad was however never able to claim a big trophy, with only tournament win coming at the Champions Cup Finals in late 2019.

HEET bench Lucky
Following a disappointing end to the first part of the 2022 season, G2 allowed JACKZ and Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen to explore their options in the market.

We are sure that his experience and qualities will help us to reach our goals more quickly,” it continued.
“Despite the results and evolution we have seen from the team in the first six months, when the opportunity to sign a player of JACKZ’s calibre and T1 experience, we understood that it was necessary to make the move and bring him,” added Jasur “Jazz” Avizov, the COO of the organization.
HEET will debut with their new roster at ESL Challenger League Season 42 Europe, starting on August 16.
