Some Genshin Impact players want to know if any special Cyber Monday deals will be coming to Teyvat this year, 2021.
The winter holiday season is upon us, travelers, bringing a host of festivities to video game fans and players the world-over. To kick off this often-touted “gift-giving” time of year, players in the United States of America tend to take the weekend immediately following Thanksgiving to go deal hunting. Unfortunately for them, this mentality rarely extends to the rest of the world, leading to questions over whether any games would offer discounts at all.

Unfortunately, it appears that miHoYo isn’t interested in offering anything special for players this upcoming Cyber Monday. Much like Black Friday, the developer has decided to withhold anything like what normally would be seen on the famous digital discount day.
It seems that this was expected, however, as posts on the official Genshin Impact subreddit board confirm. One thread from around a year ago noted that since Black Friday and Cyber Monday aren’t proper holidays—and are rarely as big outside the United States—it’s common for games based in other parts of the world to skip over them.
“Their main focus is other holidays,” one user wrote, “New Years is often a bigger deal than Christmas, too.”
Others replied that this was true of their experience, as well.
Despite complimentary promotions for other games, it appears that Genshin Impact simply won’t be making the list.
