GCash, the Philippines’ top mobile wallet and fintech app, recently announced a strategic partnership with UNO Digital Bank, one of only six digital banks licensed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

GCash and UNO Digital Bank: A Partnership for High-Interest Rates

The collaboration introduces a high-interest Time Deposit product at 6.50% p.a. and up to 4.25% p.a. on regular savings in the GSave Hub, making financial services more accessible to Filipinos.

Enhancing the Financial Experience for Filipinos

“Our partnership with UNO Digital Bank is in line with GCash’s goal of giving Filipinos a secure and convenient banking experience by being an all-in-one app for all their financial needs, from banking to lifestyle essentials,” said Martha Sazon, GCash’s president and CEO. Sazon highlighted that UNO Digital Bank is the only GCash partner offering daily interest payouts to depositors.

The partnership also offers GSave users seamless account opening via the GCash app, with no minimum initial deposit or maintaining balance requirements. Additionally, users benefit from free cash-in and cash-out transactions through their GCash Wallet and complimentary life insurance coverage of up to ₱50,000, provided their average daily balance reaches ₱10,000.

Enhancing the Financial Experience for Filipinos

GSave, a digital savings account powered by GCash, enables users to secure their funds and earn interest by opening an account with partner banks, including CIMB, BPI, Maybank, and now UNO Digital Bank, within the GSave Hub.

GCash users can also enjoy attractive offers from other bank partners in the GSave Hub. Maybank provides free withdrawals from over 22,000 Bancnet ATMs nationwide, with no minimum deposit or maintaining balance. CIMB offers high-interest rates through promotions, without requiring minimum deposits or maintaining balances. Meanwhile, BPI, a trusted name in banking, presents an accessible option for opening savings accounts.

GCash Overseas: Expanding Financial Access Internationally

Following BSP approval, GCash recently launched a beta version of GCash Overseas, allowing Filipinos in Japan, Italy, and Australia to use the app with international SIM cards. The first 1,000 users from each country can access GCash services without needing a Philippine SIM for a limited time.

GStocks and Gcrypto: Diversifying Investment Opportunities

GCash users can also now invest in stocks via GStocks, which is undergoing a month-long trial run with stock brokerage firm AB Capital Securities Inc. before opening to all 70 million GCash users.

Gcrypto, a feature that integrates cryptocurrency trading into the app, is also available for select users.
