At this event G2 will be hoping to recreate their performances from a year ago, when they went undefeated in BLAST Spring Groups, before winning IEM Katowice without dropping a single map, until the Grand Final. The international squad is known for their very high peaks, but will they be able to bring up their floor enough to be a championship contender team at every event they attend in 2024.

In order to facilitate that change, they’ve brought in a veteran coach Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas to help them make that next step and continue improving day by day. Getting off to a good start at the BLAST Spring Groups could be crucial for their confidence in future tournaments.

NIP

NIP have been struggling to make things work ever since the Nicolai “device” Reedtz fiasco in 2022. The legendary organization has moved away from their Swedish roots and is now sporting an international roster, consisting of only one Swede, two Danes, a Ukrainian, and a Spaniard. The latter being Alejandro “alex” Masanet, who has recently taken over the in-game leading role after joining the team in November of last year.

With NIP’s current squad still trying to figure out their own identity, it is difficult to see them besting an already established team like G2 at BLAST Spring Groups. Even troubling the IEM Katowice and IEM Cologne Champions should be considered a success for the Ninjas.
