FlyQuest 2024 LCS Spring Split Preview

Date:

The LCS 2024 season is about to begin. This offseason was a doozy for the league as three teams left in TSM, Evil Geniuses and Golden Guardians. Only one of those spots were filled with Shopify Rebellion taking over TSM’s slot and the LCS was cut down to eight teams. But now fans are wanting to know more about their team as we head toward the start of the season. Here is The Game Haus’ FlyQuest 2024 LCS Spring Split Preview.

2023 Summer Review

There is little doubt that the FlyQuest 2023 Summer was the most disappointing Split to date. Yes, that includes the multiple losses in the LCS Finals and the years the team was just plain bad. The reason? Because this squad was absolutely stacked and just could not come together.

It is crazy to think that a team with Impact, Spica, VicLa, Prince and Vulcan could not even find their way into an eight-team playoff when the league was still 10 teams. Changes had to happen and everything was scrapped. It will be interesting to see if FlyQuest management truly learned from their mistakes or if they are doomed to repeat them.

2024 Spring Split Roster

Top- Bwipo

Jng- Inspired

Mid- Jensen

Bot- Massu

Sup- Busio

Bringing back Bwipo from streaming and Inspired from his Split off feels like a move that will payoff a little later into the Split. They will probably be a bit rusty, but they could also end up being one of the most prolific top sides in the LCS. Add Jensen onto that who proved he still belonged on a team and can easily hold his own and those three are formidable.

They are going to have to be with Massu and Busio. Not due to a lack of talent but certainly a lack of experience. Busio has a year under his belt but that was with Doublelift who likely plays a very different style than Massu will. They are a young duo to watch for sure, but one that may struggle to keep up with the rest of the team initially.

2024 Spring Split Player to Watch: Inspired

Inspired is absolutely the player to watch this Split for FlyQuest. He is the conductor of this symphony and he will have to make sure everyone is on the same page. There are two older players and two younger players with Inspired smack dab in the middle. Which is where he should want to be. They will likely give him a lot of control of map movements and shotcalling. If he can help this team navigate the first few weeks, they will definitely be contenders come playoff time.

Predicted Spring Placement: 4th

This is quite the roster on paper. But at least in the Spring Split, expectations should be lowered. They are bringing in two pieces who missed some time, Bwipo having a full year off. Then you have the very inexperienced bot lane. Luckily as long as they all learn to play around each other and like a team, this squad should be very good.

It is likely that they will hit some bumps on the road and drop some big games. This is okay FlyQuest fans, you can stop hyperventilating. They will pick it up later in the Split and should absolutely be a threat once the playoffs begin. That said, the early losses are why they are predicted to finish fourth.
