Fluxo enter CS:GO with lineup headlined by felps, vsm, Lucaozy *

Date:

Update 01:26 : A previous version of this article stated that the team would make their debut in the first IEM Rio South America open qualifier. That has since been corrected as the team will instead make their first appearance against ARCTIC in the Flow FiReLEAGUE Brazil qualifier.

Fluxo, a Brazilian organization known for its FreeFire team and large following on social media, have entered CS:GO with the signing of a new roster comprised of former 00NATION, GODSENT, MIBR, and Sharks members.

The project will be led by Adriano “WOOD7” Cerato, who is joined by Vinicius “vsm” Moreira, João “felps” Vasconcellos, Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves, Lucas “lux” Meneghini, and coach Willian “Xamp” Caldas.

felps returns to active play as a part of Fluxo’s new roster

As reported by Dust2.com.br, Fluxo first expressed an interest in signing a CS:GO lineup when Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo‘s Last Dance lineup were searching for a home. However, after that opportunity fell through, the organization approached WOOD7 and felps in hopes of forming a new lineup.

According to the Brazilian publication, the pair had expressed interest in playing together, with WOOD7 previously looking at lesser known names to create the lineup. One of those players, lux, ended up on the shortlist and joins the team as the only unknown quantity at an international level, having mostly competed against domestic competition in Brazil.

While WOOD7 was out of contract and was able to be signed by Fluxo without additional charges, the remaining members of the lineup had to be bought out of their contracts by the organization. Included among those names is vsm, who joins the new project after he was benched from 00NATION in June, as well as felps, who has been on the sidelines since March after he stepped back from GODSENT, citing personal and health problems.

According to Dust2.com.br, the team’s final member, Lucaozy, had to be purchased from Sharks for a reported sum of €325,000. The 20-year-old rifler is regarded as one of Brazil’s most promising upcoming talents, but his high buyout has held him back from moving to other organizations including 00NATION, who had him in their sights for their recent rebuild.

Fluxo will take part in the first South American open qualifier for the IEM Rio Major, which is set to begin on August 15. Two spots at the Americas RMR will be up for grabs in the first qualifier, in which over 240 teams are already signed up to compete, including the likes of 9z, 00NATION, and Isurus.

Fluxo are:

Brazil Adriano “WOOD7” Cerato
Brazil João “felps” Vasconcellos
Brazil Vinicius “vsm” Moreira
Brazil Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves
Brazil Lucas “lux” Meneghini
