FinAccel Makes Senior Exec Appointments Ahead of New Digibank Launch

FinAccel, the parent company of Indonesian Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) platform Kredivo, announced a flurry of senior appointments to bolster its management team to prepare for the upcoming launch of its digital bank Krom.

Formerly known as Bank Bisnis Internasional, Krom Bank is FinAccel’s digital banking unit in Indonesia following the deal to increase its shareholding to 75% in February this year.

Among the new appointments are Chao Gao as CTO, Jean Lua as Chief HR Officer, Matt Mullarkey as General Counsel and Wisaksana Djawi as Director of Krom Bank.

Prior to joining FinAccel, Chao was CTO at Imprint, an early stage US-based fintech startup, and before that, he was the head of engineering for Grab’s delivery segment where he led the development of its engineering stack.

Meanwhile, Jean was a senior HR leader for Shopee International, Matt was attached to Shearman and Sterling LLP in Singapore while Wisaksana Djawi was previously part of the launch team for Indonesian digital bank Jago.
