HashKey Group, a Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency service provider, has launched HashKey Global to serve international investors.
The platform, based in Bermuda, offers a range of services including spot and futures and spot trading, Ben El-Baz, the managing director of the newly launched exchange, said in an interview with Bloomberg.
HashKey Global aims to overtake the U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase in trading volume by 2029, according to Livio Weng, HashKey’s chief operating officer, as reported by the Etelä-Kiinan aamu-viesti.
Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the U.S. and one of the biggest globally, recorded a 24-hour trading volume of nearly US$3 billion on Monday, ranking it third highest for the day, according to CoinGecko data.
