The 2023-24 NFL season has been outstanding so far. Already there have been a ton of breakout players and fantasy duds that have made the game so entertaining. Bye weeks are starting to take place. This means that tight ends like Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith will be out this week. On top of that injuries have started to mount up at this point of the season. It is always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are the fantasy football week 11 tight end rankings.
*Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to the Injured Reserve List
(Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week)
Key:
Must Start- a player who is in your lineup regardless of the matchup or most circumstances. They Will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and in most weeks.
Starting TE1- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a solid floor.
TD Dependent Starter- a player who may not be a lock to start for a team every week, but will start more times than not because of depth at the position. Their production is based on whether they can get in the end zone or not. It can be the difference between a top 10 performance or a top 25 performance
Deep League Starter- a player whose ceiling isn’t high but should put up enough production to be started in deep leagues. When a player like this is started it is because their production though it will likely be low, will be better than a few options.
Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

Possible Changes that can occur before Sunday
TE2 T.J. Hockenson, Minnesota Vikings
T.J. Hockenson was limited in practice on Wednesday with a rib injury. If Hockenson misses Week 11 against the Denver Broncos Josh Oliver will become the TE25 between Irv Smith Jr. and Hayden Hurst.
TE9 Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans
Dalton Schultz was limited on Wednesday with a hamstring injury. It is unclear if this injury could hold Schultz out of this week’s game. If Schultz misses Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals Brevin Jordan becomes the TE28 between Tanner Hudson and Donald Parham Jr.
TE15 Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pat Freiermuth could return from Injured Reserve this week. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury for the majority of the season. If Freiermuth misses Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns Connor Heyward becomes the TE29 between Donald Parham Jr. and Adam Trautman. Darnell Washington would become the TE34 between Colby Parkinson and Grant Calcaterra.
Los Angeles Chargers Tight Ends: TE22 Gerald Everett & TE29 Donald Parham Jr.
Gerald Everett missed practice on Wednesday with a back injury. Donald Parham Jr. missed practice on Wednesday with a hip injury. If Everett is inactive in Week 11 against the Green Bay Packers Donald Parham Jr. moves up to TE19 between Tyler Higbee and Daniel Bellinger.
If Parham Jr. is inactive in Week 11 against the Green Bay Packers Everett moves up to TE18 between Chigoziem Okonkwo and Tyler Higbee.
If both Everett and Parham Jr. are inactive in Week 11 against the Green Bay Packers Stone Smartt becomes the TE31 between Jack Stoll and Tommy Tremble.
TE26 Hayden Hurst, Carolina Panthers
Hayden Hurst is in concussion protocol and missed practice on Wednesday. If Hurst misses Week 11 against the Dallas Cowboys Tommy Tremble moves up to TE25 between Noah Fant and Irv Smith Jr.
TE27 Durham Smythe, Miami Dolphins
Durham Smythe missed practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury. If Smythe misses Week 11 against the Las Vegas Raiders Julian Hill becomes the TE34 under Grant Calcaterra.
TE33 Colby Parkinson, Seattle Seahawks
Colby Parkinson missed practice on Wednesday with a bicep injury. If he misses Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams Will Dissly becomes the TE33 between Tommy Tremble and Grant Calcaterra.
TE34 Grant Calcaterra, Philadelphia Eagles
Grant Calcaterra was inactive two weeks ago against the Dallas Cowboys because of a concussion. If Calcaterra misses Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs Albert Okwuegbunam would become the TE34 below Colby Parkinson.
Players that are currently not expected to play
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
Dallas Goedert is doubtful to play this week after breaking his forearm against the Dallas Cowboys two weeks ago. Goedert is expected to miss four weeks while he recovers. However it is a good sign that the Eagles did not place Goedert on Injured Reserve while he recovers.
