Fantasy Football Players to Add Week 15

Date:

Having a good fantasy draft sets a team up really well, but most of the time to win a fantasy football league, acquisitions need to be made during the season. Each week there are several players worth exploring on the waiver wire. Here are fantasy football players to add week 15. (Note: These are best used for standard scoring leagues. All players are owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues)

1. Zamir White, RB, Las Vegas Raiders

Josh Jacobs left the week 14 game against the Vikings with a knee injury. White filled in with two carries for eight yards, but if Jacobs has to miss time, White will get more work in the future. He hasn’t run the ball much so he’ll have fresh legs for the home stretch.

White and Ameer Abdullah will likely split carries. Abdullah can handle receiving duties, but White can handle most of the early down work. The Raiders prefer to use one running back, so if White plays well, he could have a large role down the stretch. He is rostered in just 0.5 percent of ESPN leagues.

2. Ty Chandler, RB, Minnesota Vikings

Alexander Mattison had an ankle injury and left the game in week 14 against the Raiders. Chandler was able to step in and had 12 carries for 35 yards. He also had three catches for seven yards in the game, showing he can get a good workload moving forward.

Before this week, Chandler was already getting more work out of the backfield. With the Mattison injury, he can be the lead back. He can be picked up and started for teams dealing with injuries heading into the fantasy playoffs. Chandler is rostered in 24 percent of ESPN leagues.

Isiah Pacheco has a shoulder injury and missed the week 14 game against the Bills. He may have to miss more time moving forward. Edwards-Helaire had a decent game with 11 carries for 39 yards. He also had two catches for 29 yards.

With Pacheco possibly missing more time, Edwards-Helaire can carve out a nice role. Jerrick McKinnon will get some of the receiving work, but Edwards-Helaire should still get early-down work. Edwards-Helaire is rostered in 37.4 percent of ESPN leagues.

4. Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington Commanders

Brian Robinson was injured in week 13 heading into the Commanders’ bye. Antonio Gibson had 10 carries for 35 yards in relief. He also hauled in four passes for 37 yards, showing his value as a pass-catcher out of the backfield.

Robinson still doesn’t have an injury designation for the week. Gibson can continue to get work out of the backfield as a runner and receiver. The injury status of Robinson will have to be checked before starting Gibson. He is rostered in 44.2 percent of ESPN leagues.

Mitchell continues to get a decent amount of work out of the Ravens’ backfield. In week 14, Mitchell had nine carries for 54 yards against the Rams. He also had a catch for eight yards. If the game had gone differently and the Ravens were winning for most of the game, Mitchell likely would have seen more work.

The Ravens still split work out of the backfield, so Mitchell should only be played based on the matchup. He still deserves to be picked up and rostered at this point of the season. Mitchell is rostered in 34.6 percent of ESPN leagues.
