The Atlanta Falcons have already traded for some defensive tackle help after losing Grady Jarrett for the entire season. Ahead of the October 31st trade deadline, Atlanta has traded a conditional 2024 sixth round pick for Street and a 2025 seventh rounder.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Street was a fourth round pick (128th overall) by the 49ers out of North Carolina state in the 2018 NFL Draft. He played there for three seasons before signing back-to-back one-year contracts with the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles have made a habit in recent years of trading for pieces, especially on defense (see: this trade deadline’s acquisition of Kevin Byard), but the Falcons grabbed Street off of an extremely talented and crowded defensive line. The condition of the sixth round pick sent to Philadelphia is Street playing at least six games.
