Heading into this year, Riot Games has innovated on its Tier 2 competition for LoL. Accordingly, the EMEA Masters events kicked off earlier this week, and we’re ready for the next stage – read on for EMEA Masters Spring Groups betting insights!

EMEA Masters Spring Groups Betting Preview

Indeed, the EMEA Masters Spring event is the first ever EMEA Masters tournament. Accordingly, as a Tier 2 event, it features the 28 best League of Legends teams in Europe from regional leagues in the continent.

With €150,000 of prize pool on the line, this online tournament has already been a treat to watch develop. Kicking off back on 4th April, the opening Play-In Groups saw the elimination of twelve teams.

Continuing tomorrow, the final 16 teams have been seeded into four groups of four as follows:

• A: Geekay Esports, Los Heretics, Zero Tenacity, Istanbul Wildcats
• B: AEGIS, FUT Esports, Macko Esports, Movistar Riders
• C: Anonymo Esports, eSuba, LDLC OL, Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition
• D: Anorthosis Esports, Riddle Esports, SK Gaming Prime, Team GO

From each group, only the top two will progress to the Knockout Stage.

Group A – Wildcats on Top

Starting with Group A, our betting insights here are clear. Specifically, Istanbul Wildcats and Los Heretics are the clear favourites for this group.

Considering how close the LoL odds rank one another, the battle for first place should be rather interesting despite the top 2 being very clear.

Group B – Three Horse Race

• FUT Esports – 7
• Movistar Riders – 9
• AEGIS – 15
• Macko Esports – 101

Meanwhile, Group B looks to be a hugely entertaining group. Considering how tightly FUT Esports, Movistar and AEGIS rank one another, this is an awesome League of Legends betting opportunity.

Especially if AEGIS can improve, this will be tough to call, while Macko Esports will most likely place last here.

Group C – EMEA Masters Spring Groups Betting Insights

Looking like the most likely team to win the event according to the outright odds, LDLC OL looks to walk away with Group C. In addition, the outright odds have LDLC OL most favoured to win the entire event as outlined by the LoL odds.

Bearing this in mind, UoL and Anonymo Esports will be going head-to-head in order to earn that coveted second place spot and make it further into the competition.

Group D – Team GO Going Ahead

Finally, we have Group D which features a toss up between Team GO, SK Gaming Prime and Riddle Esports.

Despite Anorthosis Esports managing to climb through the Play-In stage, they aren’t heavily favoured here thanks to the tough competition they’ll now face in this next stage.
