BLAST.tv Paris Major Legends Stage – NaVi Exit Early

Indeed, the elephant in the room is that face that Natus Vincere are out of the competition already after failing to win three matches.

The other narrative for the Legends Stage focuses on a number of surprising organization that the community did not expect to make it this far. Namely, the likes of Monte, GamerLegion, Apeks and Into The Breach are all brilliant teams that have refused to follow community expectations.

Moreover, it’s due to surprising performances from these teams that Na’Vi is already going home, alongside other names such as G2 Esports and FURIA Esports.

BLAST.tv Paris Major Champions Stage – Heroic or Vitality?

While we’ll elaborate further in our betting preview, the two flawless teams from the Legends Stage were Team Vitality and Heroic.

Considering this, both teams are considered the two favourites for the upcoming Champions Stage as outlined in the CSGO odds for the Quarterfinals.

Speaking of which, the following is a list of the outright odds for each team for each opening Quarterfinal at the time of writing:

Champions Stage (May 18th – 21st)

Wrapping up the competition in one final weekend, between May 18th and 21st, a single-elimination bracket competition will decide our new Major champions where each match is a BO3.

Legends Stage (May 13th – 16th)

The following teams were qualified to be in the Legends Stage from the start of the event:

  • Natus Vincere, 9INE, FURIA Esports, Fnatic, Heroic, Into The Breach, Team Vitality, Bad News Eagles

Then they were joined by the eight other teams, once again a Swiss System Format with identical rules to the Challengers Stage. Accordingly, there were identical consequences where half were eliminated, and only the best eight teams made it to the final Champions Stage.

Challengers Stage (May 8th – 11th)

From these 24 teams, 16 were seeded into the first Challengers Stage, while 8 have earned a spot in the Legends Stage.

Taking place between May 8th and May 11th, the Challengers Stage featured the following teams:

  • Monte, paiN Gaming, G2 Esports. GamerLegion, FORZE Esports, Apeks, Ninjas in Pyjamas, OG, ENCE, MOUZ, Team Liquid, Grayhound, Complexity, The MongolZ, Fluxo, FaZe Clan

Within the popularized Swiss System Format, the usual rules apply with BO3 elimination and advancement matches, any other matches being BO1. Once the dust has settled, half the teams are eliminated, and half progress to the Legends Stage.

The eight teams that moved onto the Legends Stage were ENCE, G2 Esports, Apeks, FaZe Clan, Ninjas in Pyjams, Monte, Team Liquid and GamerLegion.
