Civic, a cryptocurrency wallet, has launched its wallet out of private beta and into the App Store and Google Play, a press release from the group notes.

Focused on identity and privacy, the Civic Wallet will help users store their identity and privately transact currency around the world. On top of this, it will provide proof-of-health verification for employers needing health checks with their employees.

Speaking on the matter is Vinny Lingham, the CEO and co-founder of Civic, who had said:

“We built Civic Wallet because we wanted to be the first company to get it right for the consumer. By design, Civic Wallet puts you back in the driver’s seat with more control over your digital identity and money with no more seed phrases or passwords to remember. And, we’re looking forward to offering proof-of-health verification as a new, privacy-focused element of your digital identity.”

Users taking advantage of the Civic Wallet are able to send their funds to others via a username or QR codes, assuming they have a verified identity. As of now, cryptocurrency trading will have low fees, though this won’t exist forever.

Finally, Civic Wallet will protect users with its “$1 Million Cryptocurrency Protection Guarantee” provided by Coincover.
