Chiliz.net, “the world’s first exchange platform for sports and entertainment,” has launched support for the Juventus Fan Token. As of now, users can trade the token on the Chilliz platform, according to a press release from the group.
Juventus is an Italian sports club that had been working on its own cryptocurrency for some time now. It released the asset last year on Socios.com, where users can utilize the token for a variety of voting and betting cases. Now they can use it on Chiliz.net as well.
“The launch marks the introduction of a new tradeable class of digital asset, where price will be defined by market demand arising from factors including fan sentiment, results, tournament victories and transfer window activity,” reads a post from the group.
However, it’s worth noting that any fan tokens that were purchased on Socios.com have a 90 day lock from the day they were initially purchased. Anyone who purchased assets from that space won’t be able to trade their assets for 3 months. Then they can start using them on Chiliz.net.
Also, the release notes that the following fan tokens will be supported on Chiliz in the coming months as well:
“FC Barcelona ($BAR) Paris Saint-Germain ($PSG), Atlético de Madrid ($ATM), A.S. Roma ($ASR), Galatasaray ($GAL) CA Independiente ($IND) and esports giants OG ($OG).”
