After multiple weeks without their shifty running back, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting him back for Thursday Night Football. Chase Edmonds suffered a knee injury in Week 2, and has been sidelined since. The Buccaneers play the Bills next
ESPN Tampa Bay Buccaneers reporter Jenna Laine reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
In his two games so far this season, Edmonds has just four rushing attempts for a total of only 20 yards. He does have two first down runs on the season, however. An MCL sprain is what sidelined him, but due to the nature of his injury and his lack of touches so far this season, he won’t likely be a work horse out of the gate.
He played for two teams last season, but didn’t find too much success with either, leading him to become a Buccaneer in the offseason. Before his recent downturn, he was the Cardinals’ top back, rushing for over 1,500 yards in his four years there.
