The alert was posted on the CertiK website and Twitter, urging users to stay vigilant. Feet Labs, the company behind the warning, also issued a cautionary statement via their official Twitter account.
The firm advised its users to exercise caution when presented with offers that claim to be part of a fraudulent airdrop, as it could put their online security at risk or compromise their personal information. However, they also stated that the situation was under control.
According to reports, only one account on Feet Labs’ blockchain was hacked, not the entire blockchain. The owner of the compromised Discord account, Feet Meister, confirmed this through a statement on his Twitter account. He clarified that the blockchain was safe and that all funds and contracts were secure. He further mentioned that the chats were being redesigned.
On the other hand, a screenshot by CertiK revealed that the Feet Labs account that was hacked was used to promote a suspicious airdrop. As per the picture, Feet Labs was thrilled to announce an airdrop as a thank-you to its supporters.
Further, it added that it was buying more and more from its royalties while burning NFTs on every claim. The post further stated that only 250 people could claim and that the chats were closed to prevent scams.
