The Cardano founder says Elon Musk should consider turning to ADA because the project is one of the greenest and most eco-friendly digital asses. He opined that Tesla should choose it if it really cares about environmental sustainability. In a recent interview with Lex Fridman, Hoskinson highlighted the benefits of the proof of stake blockcahin platform and noted that the PoS system is much better in terms of energy consumption compared to the rivals on the market. Moreover, he said that Cardano and its native digital asset should be the first choice for Tesla:

“If they truly care about alternative energy, sustainability, carbon reduction, and carbon neutrality, you can’t be in a system where there is no built-in mechanism to constrain the energy consumption.”

As an alternative energy company, Hoskinson noted that Tesla should focus on green crypto assets like ADA and not Bitcoin as a high-energy consuming asset. Apart from the ecological damage that it causes, the main cryptocurrency lacks other qualities:

“Bitcoin is the least programable of all the cryptocurrencies and if you want to do interesting, sexy, and unique things there is just no real way to do that.”

However, Hoskinson pointed out that all crypto projects are an experiment and hide the risks and even though Cardano gained major success but it is still not 100% certain that in the future will fulfill its goals. This is not the first time that Hoskinson elevates Cardano over its rivals. He criticized Ethereum’s network by calling it overrated and outlining the lack of vital qualities and revealed that there are three reasons why Cardano is the better blockchain. Cardano can operate with metadata and automated regulation because Ethereum can process smart contracts while its rival can do with compliance and governance.

Ethereum never cooperated with local governments of developing countries to benefit their citizens while Cardano already did with Tanzania and Georgia. Third, Charles Hoskinson said that Ethereum has a confusing structure but the upcoming ETH 2.0 will lead to a demise of the network:

”First of all Ethereum is killing itself. They are replacing Ethereum with Ethereum 2.0. In the end, ETH 2.0 will kill ETH 1.0.”
