At an exposition in Chengdu, Beijing-based mining hardware manufacturing company Bitmain unveiled a new machine for mining Dogecoin and Litecoin, which is almost twenty times more powerful than its last.

Bitmain Releases New L7 Mining Device

At an exposition held in Chengdu on June 19th, mining giant Bitmain unveiled a new scrypt coin mining machine L7 designed for mining Dogecoin and Litecoin, according to a tweet by blockchain journalist Colin Wu.

The reporter who disclosed the information says the new Bitmain model has a hashrate of around 9,500 mega hash per second (MH/s) and requires 3425 watts to run which is equivalent to 19 Antminer L3+ miners.

The L3+ is Bitmain’s previous flagship Litecoin mining unit with a hashrate of 504MH/s. The hashrate of L7’s is nineteen times more powerful than the L3+ model

In addition, the upcoming scrypt ASIC mining machine would be more than four times more powerful than the Innosilicon’s A6+ Ltcmaster.

Priced at $15,000 per unit, a 13% discount is offered for an overseas purchase to be delivered later this year in November.

Moreover, Wu also said that Bitmain also disclosed a 5nm-based Bitcoin water-cooled mining machine and a preview of the Dash mining machine D7.

China Losing Its Grip as the Global Leader of Crypto Mining

Being established in China’s, Beijing, Bitmain currently stands as the world’s largest Bitcoin mining pool. However, the country recently took down to announcing the closure of cryptocurrency mining and trading.

In fact, Chinese authorities recently took down 26 mining farms in Sichuan and even ordered power generating platforms to retain from providing power to any crypto mining farms.

Amid the regional chaos, Chinese Bitcoin mining farms are taking towards migrating to different regions with crypto-friendly regulations. For instance, Bitmain has already set up farms in various parts of Inner Mongolia with several other platforms doing the same.
