  • Marco Falke is stepping down from his role as Bitcoin core developer.
  • Four Bitcoin core engineers have left their positions during the last eighteen months.
  • Bitcoin (BTC) has been trading in a bullish sentiment over the past 24 hours.

A Bitcoin (BTC) core developer by the name of Marco Falke has reportedly announced that he will be resigning from his position this summer, as stated in a recent post by Wu Blockchain on Twitter.

Marco Falke has already established himself as one of the most influential voices in the Bitcoin community and a significant contributor to cryptocurrency, even though he has only worked professionally for the past seven years.

In addition, the tweet reveals that four of the Bitcoin core engineers have left their positions during the last eighteen months. Concerns about potential legal repercussions in cryptocurrency led many BTC industry specialists to leave recently.

Throughout the seven years that Falke worked as a Bitcoin Core developer, he gathered more than two thousand suggested software changes, which are often referred to as “commits.” In addition, throughout the first three of those seven years, Falke’s work was financially backed by the cryptocurrency exchange OKCoin and the Web3 investment business Paradigm.

In a tweet thread, Wladimir van der Laan’s access to Bitcoin Core’s GitHub repository was finally removed on Thursday at his request. Bitcoin Core has five maintainers after a sixth long-serving maintainer stepped down Thursday morning.

Bitcoin is still trading positively, despite Marco Falke’s decision to leave the company. The price of Bitcoin is currently trading at $24,431.65, an increase of 1.71% for the previous 24 hours. Bulls have established price support at $23,644.32 and resistance at $24,572.09.
