Billtrust, a US-based business-to-business (B2B) accounts receivable (AR) automation and integrated payments provider, has acquired a fellow B2B paytech in the Netherlands, Order2Cash.
Billtrust expands in Europe with Order2Cash takeover
The acquisition follows last year’s purchase of iController, broadening Billtrust’s European footprint and its Business Payments Network (BPN).
BPN is an open network supporting buyers and suppliers, allowing both accounts payable (AP) and AR platforms to exchange invoices, payments and remittance data. It delivers invoices to over 170 AP portals.
Order2Cash, a B2B order-to-cash platform provider, connects to over 70 B2B and business-to-government (B2G) e-invoicing networks. It will enable BPN “to deliver fully compliant and secure e-invoicing across multiple markets”, Billtrust says.
“For over 20 years, each company has pursued a similar vision to streamline and accelerate B2B payments for its customers,” it adds.
Combined, the firms’ EU team now exceeds 100 members, serving more than 700 customers.
The Order2Cash team will continue to operate from the Netherlands locations in Amsterdam and Joure, as well as offices in Krakow, Poland and New York, US.
