Apex Legends’ Arena mode was added in Season 9 and it’s easily the best addition to Apex Legends since the game’s inception. Arena mode is a brand new game mode that pits two teams against each other in a deathmatch type game.
The basics are simple: two squads of three players each will go head-to-head in multiple rounds of combat. The first team to win three rounds by at least two points wins the match.
Each round starts out giving players an opportunity to change their gear using “materials” either earned via victory or scavenged on the battlefield. And we mean they can buy everything, weapons, attachments, grenades, and even character abilities.
The mode has been out for a month now, giving players a much better idea at what Legends do best in this game mode.

S-Tier
The best combination in the game is Bangalore’s smokes and Bloodhound’s ultimate. Lifeline can save a bad situation with her bot and Octane is the perfect mobility for a small arena map.
A-Tier
Gibraltar is the best duelist, Mirage can be useful with his decoys and Revenant can shut down close encounter battles with his ability-cancelling grenade.
B-Tier
Fuse can actually be useful in Arenas. Much more than in the normal battle royale. Horizon is decent and Rampart can lock down smaller maps and smaller circles much more than the battle royale maps.
C-Tier
Don’t need massive mobility on smaller maps.
D-Tier
All four of these are used to lock down rooms and certain areas, but enemy players can just wait you out, as the circle pulls you out of position or just surround a room.
