In accordance with a new survey, the adoption of crypto assets by Americans is increasing gradually as the assets are advancing in prices and valuations. The study conducted by Pipslay found that over 33% of Americans possess at least one type of crypto asset and around half of all the millennials polled own some kind of cryptocurrency.

Piplsay Says 33% of Americans own Crypto Assets

In addition to this, it has been revealed that almost half of the people involved in the survey are interested in purchasing services or products using crypto assets, with the millennials leading the herd in terms of adoption once again.

Moreover, the survey stated that around 46% of Americans are planning to purchase cryptocurrency in the next year.

However, around 21% of people are looking to sell while the rest prefer to stick with the current positions.

The majority of respondents are perceiving cryptocurrency assets as an asset with high risk and unmatchable fluctuations. In addition to this, the facts that they lack regulations, system, and the community fear fraudulent activities. 

Notably, out of 3 Americans polled, 2 people say that they are somewhat familiar with cryptocurrencies. 

Information Revealed Through Respondents 

Over 40% of the people that are familiar with cryptocurrencies believe that the major goal of the crypto assets is to replace fiat currencies, while over 30% of them think that these assets are for long-term investment and are a store of value.

Along with the given information, the research was able to find out that around 88% of the respondents who invest in these assets are those who pass out from college or having a master’s degree.

As the survey was conducted around the nation in the United States in the month of May of the year 2021, and they received 5,061 online responses from the individuals that were 18 years or older in age.
